Rosters to be posted by Monday

Most details have been worked out for the selection of three Binghamton basketball teams after our tryouts Saturday afternoon (October 24). However, there are a couple players for which information was incomplete, or not made clear, at the registration for the tryout, so those final details are being considered.

All three Binghamton Travel Team rosters will be posted here by Monday (October 26) afternoon, as well as being posted at the YMCA (Binghamton) gym by Monday evening.

Tryouts were very well attended, with nearly 60 student/athletes in the YMCA gym. Unfortunately, there was a need to trim that number to approximately 35 players, so in the event a player was not assigned to one of our rosters, make sure that if basketball is a passion, other avenues are pursued (such as CYO), and those students' basketball skills and conditioning continue to be a focus.

Thank you to everyone who attended.

Reminder: Tryouts are Saturday

Binghamton Travel Basketball will hold tryouts for its 2009-2010 season from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, October 24, at the downtown Binghamton YMCA.

Interested student/athletes in grades 3 through 6 are encouraged to attend.

This is the only opportunity to try out for these teams.

If you have any questions, please contact Stephen Jensen at 743-0582.

Additionally, our normal open-gym scrimmage/workout will be held Saturday morning, as well, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Student/athletes in the 2nd through 7th grades are invited to work on their game during this time.

Games are officiated with frequent substitutions, so all players attending receive plenty of playing time.
