Binghamton Teams: 7-1-1 in League Tourney

The Binghamton Travel Basketball teams played in the Slim Sylvester League's annual Kickoff Tournament this past Saturday, and the teams went a combined 7-1-1. Off to a solid start.

No stats available for the Red team (again, if anyone would like to keep stats, please let me know), but we have scores for them, and stats for the Blue and White squads. These games were shorter (like scrimmage sessions) going 20 minutes of straight running time.

Upcoming Schedule

* The Red squad will have its first practice 6:30 to 8:20 p.m. Tuesday, November 1 at Roosevelt.

* White and Blue will practice from 6:30 to 8:20 p.m. Wednesday, November 2 at Roosevelt.

* All THREE teams - White, Blue and Red - will practice from 6:30 to 8:20 p.m. Thursday, November 3 at Roosevelt.

* AN OPEN PRACTICE will be held this Saturday morning at the downtown YMCA from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. Once again, this is not mandatory, but is an extra opportunity for the kids - on ALL THREE TEAMS, White, Blue and Red - to get in some playing time. Much of this time will be available for officiated scrimmage time. This past Saturday we had a good workout with about 10 players.

* SCRIMMAGE: On Tuesday, November 8, the White and Blue teams will host a scrimmage against two teams from Seton Catholic (very strong teams - should be a very good, early test). The scrimmage will go from 6:30 to 8:20 p.m. that evening at Roosevelt Elementary. All players are asked to wear red shorts or jerseys.

* SCRIMMAGE: On Wednesday, November 9, the Blue and Red teams (yes, Blue will scrimmage BOTH nights) will host a scrimmage against two MORE teams from Seton Catholic. This scrimmage session will also go from 6:30 to 8:20 p.m. that evening at Roosevelt Elementary. Again, all players are asked to wear red shorts or jerseys.

* PRACTICE: On Thursday, November 10, the White and Red teams will practice at Roosevelt from 6:30 to 8:20 p.m.

* AN OPEN PRACTICE will be held Saturday morning (November 12) at the downtown YMCA from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m.

* Our Charles Turner Classic pre-season tournament is Sunday, November 13 at the downtown YMCA. I have sent the schedule to all. It's also available HERE.
