Cookie dough fund-raiser
I'm told that the cookie dough will arrive at Horace Mann Elementary on Thursday (December 11). Peter Stewart, principal at HM, has generously allowed for the cookies to be placed in his school's freezer until we can retrieve them. The 4-5 team has a game Thursday (which I'll be officiating), the 5-6 team has a game Friday and both teams are active Saturday (4-5 at Whitney Point, 5-6 at the JC Holiday Tournament). Somewhere in this maze, we'll work out a schedule to get the cookies into everyone's hands for delivery.

Re-organization
By now everyone is aware of our need to re-organize from three teams to two. Due to a lack of players, 5-6 Red was disbanded. Five players were invited to play for the two remaining teams. Invited to play for the 4-5 team were fifth-graders Milton Jimenez, Jonah Chambers and Lorenzo Kennedy. Invited to play for the 5-6 team were Nathan Oliva (6) and Zion Burwell (5).

What's next?
* Thursday (December 11) the 4-5 team hosts SV-5 in a 6 p.m. game at Roosevelt Elementary.
* Friday (December 12) the 5-6 team hosts M-E 5/6 Gold in a 6 p.m. game at Roosevelt Elementary.
* Saturday (December 13) the 4-5 team plays at Whitney Point-4 in a 2:30 p.m. game at Adams Elementary School (which is located just up the hill, past the WP High School). If you need directions, please give me a call at 743-0582.
* Saturday (December 13) the 5-6 team will play three games in the Johnson City Holiday Tournament at the JC K-8 site. The first game is at 12:15 p.m. against Vestal 5-6, followed by a 2:45 p.m. game against Whitney Point-6. Our third game will be against Johnson City Maroon (5-6). Tournament fee is $175 and we're asking each player to contribute $14, if possible. Each player will receive a tournament t-shirt, and tourney winners will receive trophies.
