Tryouts for Binghamton Travel basketball will be held:
* 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, October 22, at the downtown Binghamton YMCA
* Tryouts are for students in Grades 3 through 6 (boys and girls may try out)
* Those interested in trying out should arrive early to register at the desk outside the gym
* At that time, we will need contact information for parents or guardians (cell phone numbers, e-mail addresses)
* Note: There is no fee for trying out on October 22.
****However, for those who make the team(s), there will be a player fee to help cover costs of gym rental this season, as well as the entry fee for the travel league (that total has not yet been determined, but will likely be in the $20-25 range, per player).
****Each player will also be asked to pay for their uniform, which they will keep. The uniforms we're looking at this year are reversible jerseys and shorts, with the Binghamton Basketball logo on the front of the jerseys, players' name and choice of their number on the back. The price for the uniforms we're looking at is $55.
****That means that the total price for the program, per player, this year will be approximately $75-$80.
