The Binghamton-6 travel team got off to a sluggish start Sunday at Seton Catholic High, but the team began to convert its fast-break opportunities in the second quarter to take a 2-point halftime lead. Binghamton continued to run in the second half to put this game in the W column with a 56-39 victory over Seton Catholic-6.
Binghamton has gone 5-1 in its last six games, improving the team's overall season record to 12-10.
SCC led 12-6 after the first quarter, but Binghamton's Alonzo Brunn scored 8 of his 14 points in the first half to help the blue squad take a 23-21 halftime lead. Matt Collins-Pringle scored his 4 points in that second-quarter surge, as well.
In the third, Binghamton built its lead to 7 points on equal contributions from Devin Young (team-high 20 points), Brandon Sprouse (team-high 13 rebounds) and Casey Walsh (9 points).
Binghamton began the fourth quarter with a 13-2 run that put the game out of reach.
Jordan McGahy (with 9) and Eric Foster (with 10) combined for 19 rebounds off the bench, as they helped Binghamton control the boards late in the game.
