The Binghamton-based 7/8 group hosted Homer 7/8 Saturday afternoon at the downtown YMCA. Binghamton built a quick 8-0 lead with its inside-outside game, then continued to surge for three quarters, winning 75-30.
Binghamton's held a 20-8 lead, with Roberto Jensen and Kyeem Holmes hitting from the outside, Nicky Snyder, Dan Jeffrey and Trevor Borchardt scoring in the paint.
Binghamton went on an 18-2 run in the second quarter to lead 40-17 at halftime. In the third quarter, Binghamton outscored Homer 23-4 to lead 63-21 heading into the fourth.
Jensen (16), Jeffrey (14) and Nathan Oliva (12) led Binghamton in scoring. Four players had 5 rebounds or more (Snyder, Holmes, Borchardt and Caleb Link). Jensen contributed 6 assists, while Jeffrey and Nate Gaster had 4 assists apiece. Jensen and Gaster added 3 steals each.
