Some days you have it, some you don't.
Playing a Susquehanna Valley team it had beaten twice before by a combined 83-67 points, Binghamton never got its game jumpstarted Tuesday night in the semifinal round of the Johnson City Holiday Tournament, losing to SV, 54-28.
The game was littered with interesting officiating and a comparative number that was startling: SV shot 38 foul shots (making 20). Binghamton went to the line just seven times (and made two).
Binghamton committed numerous early turnovers as SV went ahead 5-2, but Binghamton hung around to tie the game at 8-all about midway through the first half. SV then went on a 16-8 run to lead at the half, 24-12.
In the second half, Binghamton couldn't put together a run of its own, as SV slowly built its lead.
After the game, Kyeem Holmes was called to center court and presented with a nice plaque, as he was named to the All-Tournament Team. Holmes averaged 13.2 points, 12.8 rebounds, 4.2 steals, 3 blocked shots and 1.8 assists in the five games.
