Binghamton 5-6 White played a 1 p.m. scrimmage at Owego on Tuesday (December 29) and looked sharp. In an afternoon that saw the team play six 10-minute running-time periods, all of White's players saw substantial playing time, brushing off the "holiday" dust to outscore a team of Owego sixth-graders, 112-43.
Binghamton exploded to a 14-0 lead in the first period, then held a 40-12 advantage after two. With three periods in the books, Binghamton led 60-20, and after four "quarters" of play, White was up, 74-32. The Binghamton team finished as strong as it started, combining for an 18-4 run over the final two periods.
Binghamton White had five players in double-figures scoring, with two players logging double-doubles (Kyeem Holmes in points and rebounds, Roberto Jensen in points and assists) in this NBA-length-plus contest.
Fifth-grader Devin Young had a notably outstanding game on the glass, posting 18 rebounds.
