While our program does not officially have a girls 5-6 travel team, on Tuesday evening we pulled together a handful of the girls who play in our midst. Without holding a practice, the Binghamton girls (in grades 4, 5 and 6) beat a team from Whitney Point at Calvin Coolidge Elementary, 61-32.
Point broke out to an early 8-4 lead, but it was all Binghamton from there, as the home team held a 20-10 lead after the first half, and a 34-16 advantage at intermission.
Binghamton outscored Whitney Point 16-12 in the third and 11-2 in the fourth to gain the win.
